According to the Pakistan Federal Statistical Office (FederalBureauofStatistics), the growth of exports is mainly due to increased readymadegarment shipments.

In the first half of the 2010 financial year of Pakistan, the export of woven garments increased by 35%, and the export growth rates of other products were 31% cotton and 26% cotton yarn respectively.

Clothing 24%, and bedding supplies 16%; but shoes and shoes exports decreased by 6%, from 49 million dollars a year last year fell to 46 million U.S. dollars.

In December alone, Pakistan's textile and clothing exports increased by 43%, while garments exports surged 47%.

GoharEjaz, chairman of AllPakistanTextileMillsAssociation (APTMA), said that Pakistan is improving its energy supply system and developing high-value textiles and clothing.

Product export

In the international market, it is estimated that Pakistan textile and clothing exports will exceed US $13 billion by the end of the 2010 fiscal year (i.e. June 30th this year).
