Lawrence Hu has an indissoluble bond with London. His personal representative work is not only left here, but his first personal show is actually associated with the 2012 London Olympics.

He admits that his own style of design is also influenced by talented British designers.

On the evening of August 1st London, the opening ceremony of the 2012 London art exhibition and the Chinese night activities in the creative city London Art Exhibition Center held in London. Bobbi and Lawrence Hu, together with Song Zuying, Lang Lang and other top artists, dedicated an unparalleled performance to the London audience.

When the reporter saw the designer at Laurence Xu studio in Beijing, the London Olympic Games just came to a close.

Speaking of this conference, Laurence's face still flowed with excitement.

The event was the invitation of International Olympic Committee President Roger and mayor of London Johnson. Laurence showed 25 sets of Chinese clothes with strong Chinese style. Among them, there were many familiar dresses, such as Dragon Robe dress, which was performed on the world movie red carpet by the performing stars, and there were also some works in the last three years for him to organize his own costume show.

One of his friends sent a micro-blog on the scene of the conference, which resulted in the micro-blog being forwarded 17 thousand times.

When it comes to the creation process of Laurence's works, he is very familiar with his works.

When it comes to choosing a work that best represents his personal views, Laurence chooses not the emperor.

Instead, it is the "Crane Dance" blue dress, which is lined with black feathers on the long white lace skirt.

Laurence said that this work shows the sad side of his personal feelings. The same inspiration from the Chinese ink painting "snow snow looking for plum" dress also expressed his design conception.

Laurence is no stranger to London. In March, his Dragon Robe dress was permanently collected by V&A and Vitoria Museum in England.

The museum decided to let the Dragon Robe display in London for a year.

It also made Laurence more firm in his design concept -- "turning China's dusty history into the latest."

In Laurence's career, many of the film's clothing designs, many of which are well-known Chinese directors.

But many years ago, he used Chinese sedan chair to do it.

At that time, people had been reviled that they were engaged in behavior art.

Nowadays, people often call Laurence a designer of red carpet dress, but in Laurence's opinion, he is a designer, a senior designer.

He said that the senior custom clothing is more reflected in the concept and design, and British designer genius Alexander MacQueen is one of his favorite designers.

Laurence believes that workmanship is also the basis for advanced customization.

In this show, a large number of embroidery works are presented.

He said that the loss of Chinese ancient handicraft made him sad. Protecting his Chinese tradition through his works is also the driving force of his design and creation.

And his show in London has been strongly supported by the YF Foundation's "handicraft culture heritage special fund".

After years of hard work, Lawrence Hu's design style has been recognized by the society. Now he has to wait for half a year to get a customized guest in his studio.

Although the show in London has shown some of his design works, he will do something for Beijing in the future.

The plan is always in mind. He said: "the show that was originally planned in Beijing this year may not work, but I have more ideas for the future show. It may be four-dimensional. I want to add more sensory elements to the show, so that the beauty of Chinese dress will be more brilliant."
