In May 12th this year, a magnitude 8 earthquake occurred in Wenchuan, Sichuan. The China Leather Association joined hands with the National Leather Association at the first time to actively support disaster relief in the whole industry. The social responsibility was highlighted, and the leather label enterprises were most active. At the same time, in the recommendation of dermarking products in 2009, the China Leather Association has also strengthened the requirements of corporate social responsibility assessment indicators, such as staff safety production, occupational health, protection of workers' legitimate rights and interests, and so on, so as to promote harmonious labor relations and harmonious enterprise construction. At present, social responsibility has been seen as an investment, which is of great help to the operation of enterprises, and can enhance the cohesion and competitiveness of enterprises. Corporate social responsibility has also become an important part of well-known enterprises to enhance their core competitiveness, and is closely related to the sustainable development of enterprises. Because of this, as a representative of outstanding brand groups in the industry, the successful implementation of corporate social responsibility strategy by the leather label enterprises, especially the Pai Tau enterprises, will be the key to the sustainability of China's leather industry, and also a new challenge for China's leather industry to successfully cope with international competition.
