Burak Cakmak As Director Of Parsons Fashion Department

The final winning Burak Cakmak will officially enter New York central campus in August.

Simon Collins, former director of the Department who left last summer, will continue to serve as creative director as a member of the Council.

In addition to his 15 years of valuable experience in sustainable development, he will bring experience and networking resources to the school in the fashion industry and the whole world, including the experience of establishing academic projects in the United States, Britain, France, China, Brazil and India.

He deeply understands how an enterprise changes under the key decisions of designers and creative directors, so Cakmak firmly believes that by respecting nature, society and providing more traceable products, education is the best opportunity to continuously deepen the concept of sustainability in aspiring designers.

He said that his comprehensive experience in production, marketing, marketing and media on the whole chain of product development will help him better serve as a new position.

When Joel Towers, executive director of Parsons college, first talked about sustainable development with Cakmak in his office in New York two years ago, he was shocked by Cakmak's sustainable development.

Towers is an associate professor of architecture and sustainable design. He has long been concerned about environmental protection and urban ecological problems. He is also a practicing architect with 30 years of sustainable design and urban ecological design experience.
