The Latter 80 Young Workers Travel Part-Time.

First look at such a group of comparisons, how do young workers see themselves and how managers view young workers.

   Young workers themselves

I want to go somewhere else. I like it. Vagabond work I hope that one day, I will create a little bit of fame outside, and have my own stage to pick up my parents (a 22 year old Yunnan male worker).

Do not think that after 90 will dress up, or play, they always have their own ideas, have their own aspirant. That's the way I am (a 20 year old female worker in Sichuan).

The most important thing to do is to communicate with them, understand what they really think, and not let them work in a depressed mood (the 21 year old woman who is born after 90).

I go to work like a prison for 8 hours. I also want to work overtime. I don't work overtime, but to improve efficiency, I can finish living (21 year old Henan male worker).

Young workers in the eyes of managers

They are in fashion now. "Traveling" work There was no sense of responsibility and no intention of doing it. Even if he didn't fight, he left. (a middle manager in B factory).

Young people are unstable in their work. They are more playful and have their own way. What do you want from those kids? He's not very good. They don't listen too much. (a line manager of E factory).

These young people are willing to work overtime and rest more, and want to get more money. They are afraid of hardship and the ability to withstand pressure. Still more selfish, only consider themselves (B factory frontline manager).

Managers should also adjust their mindset. They should consider their problems from their perspective, encourage them, respect them and make them feel important (a front-line manager in D factory).

The above comparison is not difficult to see that conceptual differences become the root cause of the contradiction between young workers and managers or enterprises. Just like many business executives sigh, young people nowadays are not good at managing. They can't go away for a long time. I really don't know what kind of work they are looking for.

Yes, now. Later 80 What kind of work do young workers want?

According to the survey, young workers in the Post 80 pay more attention to salary level, learning skills, living environment and working conditions when choosing jobs. When looking for a job, the "80" young workers put their salaries in the most important position, followed by the opportunity to learn skills, and then the living environment and working conditions. Compared with the previous generation of migrant workers, the factors they valued are more diversified.

In the research process of A factory, a 18 year old female worker's statement confirms this very well. She said, "where we are alive now, where the fire is going to go. Some of them left in this factory and came back. No matter how hard you earn money, you just have to have fun. "

It is not difficult to find out from the data comparison in Table 1 that there is a clear "gap" between the actual work pay received by the "young workers" after the "80 years" and their expectations of work. The larger gap between the attractiveness of factories and the needs of young workers objectively provides external impetus for them to change jobs and flows more frequently, and at the same time they may generate strong internal driving force for migrant workers. This may be an important reason why some of them like to work in vagrant style.

Looking forward to obtaining fair and equitable labor remuneration and undifferentiated work benefits; we hope that the work itself is attractive; we hope to work in a friendly, tolerant and respectful environment; we hope to become a professional person and get a steady career development. After 80 young workers pay attention to labor income, the space for career development is also taken seriously.

"When I was young, I dreamed of doing business. If I didn't work, I would start my own business, open a beauty salon or a clothing store." The 18 year old woman worker from Henan said.

Another female worker from Shandong said, "my previous ideas may not be realized. Now I like Chinese medicine very much. If I work for a few years, I will not work. I want to learn Chinese medicine. Learning Chinese medicine is my dream. Those who have dreams are not alone.

17 year old Xiaohua (a pseudonym) said: "I have not yet thought about what to do in the future. I am still young. I think I will do it myself later." Xiao Hua is from Guizhou. Although he has only junior middle school culture, he has full confidence in his future.

The young male worker Xiao Long (alias) from Yunnan is also planning his future: "I have worked here for nearly 4 years, and I can dance hip-hop here. I want to see other places. I like wandering jobs. I hope that one day, I will make a little bit of myself out there, and have my own stage to pick up my parents."

From this we can see that the characteristics of young workers after "80" are very distinct. Most of them have received 9 years of compulsory education and have gone to work in cities after finishing their studies. They are not very familiar with agriculture and rural areas. Compared with their predecessors, they have the characteristics of "high education level, high professional expectation, high demand for material and spiritual enjoyment" and so on. Due to the improvement of living standard and education level, the new generation of migrant workers have higher expectations in their work, life and career development. They aspire to be understood and respected, eager to realize their self-worth, and diversifying their needs.

They work in a place and an enterprise far less than their parents. Although some enterprises have good labor environment and wage income, the transformation of the age will eventually lead them to the journey.
